Local and Interstate Removals

The two removalists sent to us were crooks. They kept complaining about the distance between the lift and their trucks and we needed to pay another $100 then there was additional $50 for wrapping the 2 TVs. Since the money is not much, we agreed to pay. However, they further cheated us another $100 saying that we needed to pay in full (i.e. 7.5 hours) and the deposit $100 would be refunded later. Now, Local & Interstate Removals said they received my payment (7.5 hours) minus $100 deposit and refused to check with their removalists, refund me $100 deposit and issued me a formal receipt. I will soon file a complaint to ACCC and Fair Trading.

The quote was $360 + $200 for stairs I ended up paying $660 I got a call for 9am pick up finished at destination at 11:30am and wanted to charge for 3 hours and they took their time...Never again

The truck was just the right side for our expected list: clean & well equipped. The removalists were efficient, quick, & cautious of the moving items. I would call them for the next moving soon.

I felt a bit let down by the back-office planning ... I had to email a few times for confirmation about various things. I then received a call the night before our move (8:50pm) requesting to change our move to later in the day. The guy was very persistent, kept asking me differing ways and offering different times ... hassling me why I would not agree to change our move. Who does that the night before a move, when many things have been locked in, other deliveries were expected and help to unpack ... the guys on the day were amazing, they were friends of friends helping out... they were not removalists but carefully, efficient and very pleasant to work with.

I don't think it was the actual removal company that did the move I just think they contracted somebody out. they could barely speak any English, covered in tattoos, chain smoking, standing around readng their mobile phones, wanted payment by cash. Would never use again totally unprofessional

Prompt and accurate quote supplied by head office. Sam and Civer were professional and friendly. They arrived on time and did an excellent job.

Advertised as all movers with 6+ years. Mine had 7 months. Had not been trained to move furniture. Dropped things, left items behind. Slow as most of the time took turns working while the other watched.

Scheduled service 1-4 pm, arrived at 5:45pm . Loading dock was a problem when the building manager's office is closed at 5pm. Quite stressful experience on a Friday evening.
