A family business for 30 years, we work locally and statewide. We can perform any size job from flats and houses, up to office moves We have a 10-tonne furniture van that can fit 43 cubic meters with a hydraulic lift. We can provide one or two experienced removalists (or more) to do your job. -packing -assembly/disassembly -provide packing materials eg: boxes etc -pianos -antiques

Well they turned up @0530 to start-l had to out of the house buy 11-left @3pm, had to move stuff to neighbours due to didnt fit into truck-moved to destination then they went back to collect the other things-turned back up at 0345 the next morning they unloaded and left about 0630-woke all the neighbours up-broke a few things-l should of kept some money to pay to fix the broken things but didnt my fault so now have to get them fixed.The young man worked like a dog they did a 25hr day? not sure if thats legal.

Charles Hughes Furniture Removals was a absolute shonky dealer! I have reported him the Consumer Affairs Victoria for damaging our belongings and not delivering the service he promised in the time frame that was quoted. He was totally unprofessional swearing at the top of his voice in front of my children, shouting out “F@#k” every-time he dropped our belongings. After discussions on the phone before giving the job to him, we discussed timeframes of how long the job would take. I was given an estimate of 6-8 hours. He had one man working with him and both were so painfully slow and elderly, that after 2 hours going by, my 20 year old and 13 year old sons had to help and ended up doing half the work for them otherwise it would have taken 2 days to complete. When Charles was confronted about the damaged items, he shrugged his shoulders and walked off. I have received abusive messages from him after paying him minus the amount for the damage.

Dear Mandy . I look forward to talking to Consumer |Affairs. you asked for your children to be allowed to heip. I was informed that the house would be packed. We were forced to do the pre packing so as to move the stuff .We also had to cut down trees (with your consent to get in the driveway). In business . I do not use bad language .I do not give estimates on how long a job (it would be stupid and guesswork ) you estimated 6 to 8 hours. ; if working on your estimate of 8 hours @ $ 135 per hour plus $100 excess for piano that equals $1180 Our price was $130 more than this being $1310. Considering all the extra work done in tree cutting and pre packing almost entire house I think you were given a very reasonable price. GREEDY Now I was informed by my second man that he had been apologetic to you over the breaking of a garden pot ( $5 value) .You have refused to allow my people to inspect your lounge suite carried out by your sons Short pay by $410. 21days later

“Not happy at all....”
Was supposed to be at unit at 1pm to move didn't get there till 3:30 🤬 So so bloody slow and yet i helped.....Broke a large pot,owner blamed worker snd worker says it was his driving ( no apologies)put a hole in my king size in my mattress on the corner 🤬 obviously dragged And my mothers silverware pieces ended up all in the back of the truck First time I’ve ever used a removalist and honestly after this experience don't know if I would again

Dear Linda Thank you for your feedback Your job was put down as second job for day to be done Pm estimated arrival time 1 pm .We kept you well informed of our arrival time would be approximately 3 to 4 pm.( 10 tonne truck filled no damage requires careful packing ) The large pot had preexisting cracks in it ( surely your were aware of them) . My worker claimed he said nothing of the sort. .Large old pot plants often fall to pieces due to old age. I believed you were aware of pre -existing cracks But now that you have brought it up one week after the completion of the job I do apologize . ( i am happy to replace the broken with another one if this would help) Silverware knifes ,fork, and spoons fell out of a cupboard ,I had been unaware that they had been left there Usually the pre-pack places all loose stuff in cartons( your packing) I appreciate customers helping ;But the sad fact is they usually slow down the job.They become insulted if try to tell them.

They were very prompt arriving at the removal address. Nothing got broken or went missing. Perhaps could have been a little quicker unloading at the storage place.

Dear Gayle Thank you for your review . The storage being on the first floor without the use of a lift was unexpected The stairs used to gain access were very steep with approximately 22 steps . I can under thestand you using this area of the storage for long term storage as it saves you 30 percent on the storage bill. The downside of it is the time it takes to carry the goods upstairs. What is your top advice for your customers?
Make sure the people you use are removalists. Have the experience required to perform to your required standards. It is wise to use firms that have been operating for at least ten years.
